Delivery of the 5,500-ton steel structures and technological channels of the safety dome for the remains of the nuclear reactor in Chernobyl.
The safety dome has a span of 257 m, is 108 m long and 150 m high. The assembly work was carried out at a distance of 330 m from the radioactive fire site. The safety dome was moved on rails over the existing sarcophagus. This is the largest movable structure in world history, its size can be compared to the Eiffel Tower.
